Hair Removal

Introduction of Laser for Hair Removal

The achievement of permanent or semipermanent hair removal has been a goal for over a century. With the development of laser technology and the application of selective photothermolysis principle, the field of hair epilation has vastly expanded in recent years. A diode laser uses semiconductor technology that can vary widely in its emitted wavelengths. It currently uses an 800 or 810nm beam to target specific chromophores in the skin. Compared to other laser systems such as the Ruby and Alexandrite, the 800nm diode laser wavelength offers the deepest penetration levels and superior melanin absorption.

How Does A Diode Laser Work?

Diode lasers use the principle of selective photothermolysis (abbreviated SPTL) to target specific chromophores in the skin, usually melanin or blood. The lasers damage the chromophores by selectively heating them while leaving surrounding tissue unharmed. When treating unwanted hair, for example, the melanin in the hair follicles is targeted and damaged, which results in the disruption of hair growth and regeneration. A diode laser can be complemented by cooling technology, or other pain-reducing methods which improve treatment efficacy and patient comfort.

Wingderm® Diode Laser Solution

Wingderm® Lasermach diode technology has been validated in numerous clinical studies. Our customers benefit from Lasermach's features and enjoy high patient satisfaction. Lasermach utilizes high-power diode technology capable of delivering high fluence. This is combined with user-selectable pulse durations, effective contact cooling, and compression for high performance. Lasermach offers two treatment modes for professional operators and beauticians, making it a true aesthetic laser for hair removal. Both static and in-motion approaches are available. Recently, the low-fluence multiple-pass method has been demonstrated to be safe and effective for patients with all skin tones, including darker skin tones. Lasermach provides a 12x20 m㎡ spot size, allowing for greater depth of penetration and significantly faster treatment.
